Launch of the GTA Project specialized Technicians Training Programme . 

The 25 specialized technicians of the GTA project start the second phase of their training progamme at INPG, for three months before going to Glasgow for the next step. Their training will focus around instrumentalization, electricity, mechanics, HSE, and the fundamentals of exploration production. Mr. Massaer Cissé, new Managing Director of Bp group in Senegal and Mr. Aguibou Ba, Managing Director of INPG, shared their experiences with the students. The opportunity to provide them with advice to help them put all the chances needed so they can have a real impact in this promising sector.

As part of the Oil and Gas trades day, about thirty students from Blaise Diagne High School, spent the morning at INPG to exchange with Oil and Gas professional. In collaboration with the National Professional Orientation Organization, this session gave them the opportunity to better understand the professions related to Oil and Gas.

An opportunity to soak up and motivate these young people, early on so they can project themselves into this new industry. 

During the visit at Baker Hughes, company in charge of the supply of chemicals and processing of the crude oil, drilling and well completion of Sangomar project, our students were in direct contact with their elders of the 1st promotion of INPG who are now operating as technical support for the engineering and preparation of equipment as well as the completion.

A wonderful experience that gave them the chance to exchange with new talents from the same training, who recently integrated the industry.

In collaboration with CNFPTA, a workshop on the “challenges and impacts of oil and gas exploitation on the blue economy “has been delivered at INPG for the staff of fishing and maritime economy sector. This session focused on the fundamentals of the oil and gas industry. The several contributions of experts have demonstrated how much the blue economy is an integral part of the management of our oil and gas resources.
